So...... this track breaks tandem with the pedal steel that is usually apart of every track. Its just a brief respite from that.. swapping Dobro in its stead.
its got a little different feel... As much as id like to stay in the confines- or even break into the formula of chill, transient "Lo-Fi Beats" proper, this project is still heavily about creativity. Years back, living in a small apartment with my best buds in the world, aside from working on original material that would latter find its place in our formed band -The Fights, we got to cut our teeth experimenting and orchestrating pretty pieces of music much like this. i miss those times too. We got away from the top 40 bar gig scene and all its unfair expectations, to stretch our creativity out here in Urbana along with so many other creatives, and the possibilities in writing and recording were pretty wide open. Its a shame that "try hard" has such a negative connotation... cuz trying hard can make such special things. Trying to give your best even in uncertainty or your own ineptitude, is a respectable thing to me. I think back to those times, in our small apartment, still unsure, and yet so-sure, and follow all our "trying hard" to where and what we are doin now...
Everything has its own intelligence. Everything has its own complexities. Everything has a story to tell.
None of it means anything, and yet, all of it means everything.
